Steph Curry praises Klay Thompson’s performance as Warriors’ sideline reporter vs. Pistons
During the Golden State Warriors’ 118-91 blowout victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, the broadcast team welcomed a new face to the booth.
For the third quarter, Klay Thompson sat behind the microphone to serve as Golden State’s sideline reporter. The five-time All-Star shooting guard joined former Warriors Kelenna Azubuike and Golden State play-by-play broadcast Bob Fitzgerald.
The Warriors responded with Thompson on the call, outscoring the Pistons 30-23 in the third quarter. Thompson’s fellow Splash Brother Steph Curry was especially locked in during the third period. Powered by a trio of triples, Curry exploded for 15 points in the third quarter on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. The two-time Most Valuable Player added four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
