Steelers LB T.J. Watt OUT vs Patriots

On Tuesday, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin offered something of an update on the pectoral injury to outside linebacker T.J. Watt. Watt suffered the injury late in last week’s win over the Cincinnati Begnals.

According to Tomlin, Watt will not play this Sunday against the New England Patriots but did not want to expand on his status beyond that. Watt has been evaluated but was planning to get a second and third opinion on the injury.

Worst-case scenario, the injury would require surgery and in all likelihood cost Watt his season. At the same time, without knowing the exact extent of the injury the range of potential outcomes on Watt is wide.
