Sports scores, stats for Thursday: Bourque, DeMoura lead Taunton softball past Milford

TAUNTON— It was another day jam-packed with high school sports in the Greater Taunton area.

Here's a look at all of the scores, stats and highlights from Thursday.

Baseball: Taunton vs. Milford

SCORE: Taunton 9, Milford 2

HIGHLIGHTS: Brady Morin earned the win for the Tigers after going two and a third innings in relief giving up a run while striking out two while Jack Cali got the start going three and two-thirds innings giving up a run on three hits and a walk while striking out three. At the plate, Caden Lindskog had two hits and three RBIs, Sean Murphy had an RBI triple and Brayden Cali and Ryan MacDougall each had an RBI.

Softball: Taunton at Milford

SCORE: Taunton 9, Milford 2

RECORD: 17-0 (15-0 Hockomock)

HIGHLIGHTS: Bella Bourque led the way at the plate for the Tigers going three-for-four with a run and three RBIs while Kaysie DeMoura went three-for-four with a run and two RBIs, Mia Torres went two-for-four with two runs, Hayley Krockta went one-for-four with a run and two RBIs off a home run and Taylor DaCosta went one-for-four with a run and RBI. In the circle, Sam Lincoln earned the win going five innings giving up two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out 10 before Cate Larson tossed the remaining two innings giving up two hits while striking out one.

Boys Tennis: Taunton at Milford

SCORE: Milford 3, Taunton 2

HIGHLIGHTS: Martin Frankimet won second singles 10-3 while the duo of Derek Dusseault and Collin Lofgren won first doubles 10-0. The Tigers and Scarlet Hawks played a single pro set rather than a best of three due to time constraints.

Girls Tennis: Taunton vs. Milford

HIGHLIGHTS: Brooke Bell won first singles 8-5 while Ava Alves won second singles 8-3, Morgan Smith won third singles 8-3, the duo of Janelle Garcia and Courtney Martin won first doubles 8-3 and the duo of Caroline Pietnik and Sam Parrett won second doubles 9-8, 8-6. The Tigers and Scarlet Hawks played a single pro set rather than a best of three due to time constraints.
