Saturday, April 27

GIRLS LACROSSE

Apponequet 22, Middleboro 6: Cece Levrault notched six goals to lead the Lakers (6-1) while Abby Bradley added five and Jayleigh Howarth and Addie Taylor each had four. Leah McGee chipped in with two. Ally Arruda made seven saves.

BOYS LACROSSE

Nantucket 13, Bishop Stang 1: Eli Ikkela had the lone goal for Bishop Stang (4-4, 4-2 CCL) off an assist from John Goll. Will Sanders had 17 saves.

SOFTBALL

Middleboro 5, GNB Voc-Tech 2: Ana Tsonis went 3-for-3 with a home run and RBI for the Bears (5-4, 2-2 SCC). She also went the distance on the mound, allowing five runs on 12 hits with no walks and four strikeouts. Alexia Tsonis and Emma Machado each had a hit while Olivia Araujo had one hit and one RBI.

Friday, April 26

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 3, Dartmouth 2: The undefeated Lakers (7-0, 4-0 SCC) handed Dartmouth its first loss of the season thanks to wins from No. 1 Will Horton over Luke Bloom-Glover (6-2, 6-1), No. 2 Nate Belmore over Owen Nielson (6-2, 6-2) and No. 3 Judson Cardinali over Shreyas Rathod (6-4, 6-2). Dartmouth got wins from the first doubles team of Charlie Camisa and Isaiah Beckwith over Ethan Clark and Ryan Abreau (6-4, 7-5) and the second doubles team of Will Harrington and Steven Wei over Nathaniel Kumlin and Cory Dugdale (6-3, 6-3). “Judson played some incredible tennis at third singles and secured the very close win over a strong Dartmouth team,” said Apponequet head coach Nate Eleuterio.

Old Rochester 5, Bishop Stang 0: The Bulldogs got wins from No. 1 Jacob Hadley (6-0, 6-1), No. 2 Peter le Gassick, No. 3 Zack Mourao (6-0, 6-0), the first doubles team of Chase Besancon and Luke Pierre and the second doubles team of David Frederick and Lucas Hadley.

GIRLS TENNIS

Dartmouth 3, Apponequet 2: Winners for Dartmouth (3-3, 2-1 SEC) were No. 2 Cali Taradash (6-3, 6-1), the first doubles team of Adeline Ablett and Julia Caron (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) and the second doubles team of Ava Dusoe and Sophia Rutkowski (6-0, 7-6 (8-6)). The win by Dartmouth’s first double team clinched the match victory. Winners for Apponequet were No. 1 Kohana Fontinha (7-5, 6-1) and No. 3 Jillian Maher (6-0, 6-0).

BASEBALL

Dighton-Rehoboth 7, Apponequet 6: Nathan Levesque (3-1) pitched 5⅓ innings, allowing two earned runs off six hits, no walks and one hit batsmen while striking out four in his first loss of the season for Apponequet (6-2, 3-2 SCC). Levesque had two hits and one RBI while Justin Serrecchia with two doubles. Caiden Cyr, Lucas Tremblay (two RBIs) and Brody Joly each had one hit.

Seekonk 6, GNB Voc-Tech 3: Jhaden Reis pitched 6⅓ innings with 11 strikeouts. He also chipped in with a hit. Noah Couto had a single and a double with two RBIs. Illiam Santiago scored two runs.

Fairhaven 11, Case 1: The Blue Devils (6-3, 5-1 SCC) captured their fourth straight win with Nikko Morris going 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI. Chase Feno went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored while Scott Joseph was 1-for-2 with two walks, one stolen base, two runs scored and two RBIs. Colby Correia was 2-for-2 with two doubles and five RBIs.

Durfee 4, Dartmouth 3: Ian Rego (3-1) took the loss, allowing four unearned runs on six hits over five innings for Dartmouth (5-2, 1-1 SEC). “Our defense, let us down today, you're not gonna beat anybody when you make six errors, especially a quality opponent like Durfee,” said Dartmouth coach Mike Frates. Justin Cleves went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored while Markus Andrews was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Donovan Burgo went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

Somerset Berkley 6, Old Rochester 0: Aidan Eagle and Jackson Hamilton each had a hit. Jason Tobin took the loss for ORR (3-7, 1-4 SCC), allowing four runs off six hits and one walk in 4⅓ innings. Noah Borgiorno struck out two in 2.2 innings of relief.

Barnstable 6, New Bedford 1 (9 innings): Brent Sharples allowed just one run in the first and threw six scoreless innings, striking out seven with three walks. He’s the first pitcher to throw seven innings this year for New Bedford (1-7, 0-2 SEC). Jack DiMatteo had an RBI single in the fourth inning to tie the game.The Whalers had a chance to win in the bottom of the eighth but Joe Castelo was thrown out at the plate on a Marquize Gonsalves single to right field. Barnstable then exploded in the top of the ninth.

SOFTBALL

Apponequet 2, Dighton-Rehoboth 1: Lauren Bernaiche pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run on two walks and six hits while striking out 10 for the Lakers (6-3, 4-1 SCC). Christina Magnett went 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Eva Zuber was 1-for-3 with the go-ahead RBI triple in the bottom of the fifth inning.

GNB Voc-Tech 6, Seekonk 1: The Bears (5-3, 3-2 SCC) scored five runs in the seventh inning to capture the win. Genesis Nunes went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a two-RBI single in the seventh. Leah Perez had an RBI single in the seventh while Ava Neno had a hit with a run scored. Zoe Teixeira had two hits and two runs scored and an RBI in the seventh while Olivia Araujo had an RBI single in the seventh with a run scored. Emma Machado had an RBI single in the seventh. Ana Tsonis was solid on the mound, going the distance, giving up one run on five hits with 11 strikeouts and no walks to earn the victory.

New Bedford 4, Bishop Stang 3 (8 innings): Hayleigh Chenard got the win for New Bedford (4-3, 2-0 SEC), allowing three runs on eight hits and five walks while striking out eight. Belle Almeida, Ivy Mattos, Annabelle Huston and Lily Gonet had two hits apiece. Gonet’s single in the top of the eighth inning scored Huston, who led off the inning with a single. For Bishop Stang (2-7, 1-2 CCL), Ava Texeira went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored while Katie Manzone was 1-for-3 with two intentional walks, a run scored and an RBI. Sid Alboum was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Lainey VanVoorhis was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Case 16, Fairhaven 1: Sydney Merusi went 1-for-2 with a double while Aylin Haworth (RBI) and Emma Gomes both went 1-for-2 for Fairhaven (4-6, 2-3 SCC).

Dartmouth 9, Durfee 7: Hannah Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Abby Lancaster was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Dartmouth (4-4, 1-0 SEC). Sarah Cabral had two RBIs while Megan Arruda and Kalisa Pomfret had an RBI. Megan Arruda was the winning pitcher, striking out 11 batters, walking three and allowing one earned run.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Old Colony 14, Southeastern 4: Abby Pitts recorded five goals while Madison Caulkins, Lauren LeBreau and Addison Tyler had two goals apiece for the Cougars (3-3, 3-2 MAC).

Dartmouth 18, Middleboro 6: Grace Haskell led Dartmouth (4-4, 1-0 SEC) with four goals while Sarah Kelly, Kyla Martin (assist) and Ava Powers had three goals apiece. Makai Vincent chipped in with four assists. Rafaella Hathaway and Avery Smith had one goal and one assist apiece. Arlene Johnson had 10 saves.

Bishop Stang 9, Arlington Catholic 6: Julia Pelzarski, Sydney Plouffe and Molly Kearney had two goals apiece while Bella Batista had nine saves for Stang (4-6, 2-4 CCL).

Old Rochester 11, Fairhaven 7: Lulu Johnson erupted for five goals as ORR (7-2, 5-0 SCC) stayed perfect in the SCC. Caroline Brogioli added three goals and one assist while Kelly Quinlan had one goal and one assist.

BOYS LACROSSE

Bishop Stang 11, Arlington Catholic 8: Eli Ikkela notched four goals and one assist while Andrew Lally added two goals and three assists. John Goll had one goal and three assists while Jack Ellsworth chipped in with two goals and Jett Carbone had one goal and one assist. Will Sanders made 14 saves for Stang (4-3, 4-2 CCL).

Apponequet 19, Seekonk 8: Kenny Wisniewski had seven goals and four assists while Will Levrault added six goals and four assists for Apponequet (6-2, 5-0 SCC). Kevin O’Connor had three goals and three assists and won 13 faceoffs. Jake Cusson chipped in with two goals and seven assists while Hunter Owen made six saves.

Thursday, April 25

GIRLS LACROSSE

Dartmouth 16, Middleboro 6: Grace Haskell recorded eight goals and one assist as she recorded her 200th career point for Dartmouth (3-4, 1-0 SEC). Kayla McGee (one assist), Madison Goldizen and Kyla Martin each scored two goals. Sarah Kelly had three assists while Arlene Johnson made five saves.

BOYS LACROSSE

Dartmouth 10, Barnstable 8: Jackson Hart powered Dartmouth with eight goals while Zach Donatio and Jacob Grieve had two apiece. Aidan Cruz was strong in net while Will Gangi won almost every faceoff.

SOFTBALL

Old Colony 24, Cape Cod Tech 12: Kayleigh DeSouza went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, five RBIs and a stolen base in addition to closing out the game on the mound for Old Colony (3-3, 3-1 MAC Small), allowing one run off one hit and one walk while striking out four in 1⅔ innings. Lindsey Bacchiocchi went 3-for-3 with a triple, three stolen bases, five runs scored and three RBIs while Faith Young was 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, three runs scored and two RBIs. Leah Robitaille was 1-for-1 with three runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base.

Wareham 15, Avon 0 (5 innings): The Vikings (7-2) captured their fourth straight win with a solid pitching performance from Madison Nereu and Jolee Anderson, who combined for a five-inning no-hitter. Nereu struck out six over two innings while Anderson had eight strikeouts in three innings. Anderson went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored while Nereu had an RBI and two runs scored. Olivia LaCava was 3-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs while Jossalyn Anctil was 2-for-3. Sawyer Bountin was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Samantha Purcell was 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

BOYS TENNIS

Fairhaven 5, Seekonk 0: The Blue Devils (4-3) got wins from No. 1 Kole Pinto (6-1, 7-5), No. 2 Coby Yin (6-3, 6-3), No. 3 Alex Hu (6-2, 6-2), the first doubles team of Chris Hu and Noah Pacheco (6-1, 6-0) and the second doubles team of Jesse Chen and Jacob Medeiros (6-0, 6-2).

Dartmouth 5, Brockton 0: Dartmouth (5-0, 3-0 SEC) got wins from No. 1 Luke Bloom-Glover (6-0, 6-1), No. 2 Shreyas Rathod (6-0, 6-0), the first doubles team of Charlie Camisa and Will Harrington (6-0, 6-0 ) and the second doubles team of Steven Wei and Isaiah Beckwith (6-0, 6-0).

Dartmouth 5, Brockton 0: Dartmouth (2-3, 2-1 SEC) got wins from No. 1 Annica Dupre (6-0, 6-2), No. 2 Cami Taradash (6-1, 6-0), No. 3 Lily Melo (6-3, 7-6 (8-6)), the first doubles team of Adeline Ablett and Julia Caron (6-2, 6-1) and the second doubles team of Ava Dusoe and Sophia Rutkowski (6-1, 6-3).

BOYS TRACK

Dighton-Rehoboth 66, Apponequet 59: Winners for the Lakers (0-2) were Elijah Barlow in the discus (113-3) and long jump (19-7), Taber Lawler in the javelin (136), Mason Macuch in the 400 hurdles (64.5), Aiden Enloe in the 400 and Brody Dunn in the mile (5:51).

GIRLS TRACK

Apponequet 93, Dighton-Rehoboth 39: Orianna Hernandez won the triple jump (33-4) and long jump (16-9) for Apponequet (1-1) while Morgan Hayward was first in the 400 hurdles (69.4) and 400 meters (60.6). Other winners were Bella Gagnier in the discus (58-6) and Reagan Flynn in the 100 (12.9) and 200 (27.4).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Quincy 1: Carter Barbosa had 39 assists and 15 digs to lead the undefeated Whalers (9-0, 2-0). Juan Grau Montano had a team-high 25 kills while Nick Rosa added nine and Nyron Foster chipped in with seven aces. Davon Centeio had 20 digs.

BASEBALL

Wareham 11, Avon 2: Isaac Strawn pitched seven complete innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs while striking out nine for Wareham’s second win of the season. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a two-RBI double. Jason White was 3-for-3 with a triple and two singles and scored five runs.

Wednesday, April 24

GIRLS LACROSSE

Fairhaven 16, Somerset Berkley 2: Carlie Francis scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, to lead Fairhaven (6-3, 3-0 SCC). Christina Pimentel (assist) and Sophia Fleurent each scored one goal while Lauren Souza had one goal and two assists. Natalie Carrico made nine saves.

New Bedford 10, Bishop Stang 9: Zaria Anderson notched four goals for New Bedford (5-4) while Caitlyn Cordeiro and Hannah Blanchard had two goals apiece. Olivia Medeiros added one goal and one assist while Anette Bennett-Tucker made nine saves. For Stang (3-6, 1-4 CCL), Julia Pelzarski had three goals while Teal Galligan and Ava Jackson had two goals apiece.

Old Rochester 16, Dighton-Rehoboth 5: Kelly Quinlan had six goals while Caroline Brogioli, Erin Cardinal and Lulu Johnson had three goals apiece for ORR (6-2, 4-0 SCC).

Apponequet 17, GNB Voc-Tech 2: The Lakers (5-1) were led by Abby Bradley (five goals), Cece Levrault (four goals), Jayleigh Howarth (three goals) and Addie Taylor (two goals). Ally Arruda made five saves.

Fairhaven 12, Somerset Berkley 0: The Blue Devils (7-2, 5-1 SCC) got two goals and two assists apiece from Owen Centeio, Barrett Becotte and Cam Burke.

Old Rochester 16, Dighton-Rehoboth 6: David Lally notched 10 goals and one assist for ORR (3-3) while Andrew Nee had four goals and three assists. Caleb Bousquet chipped in with two goals and four assists while Henry Cooney had four assists.

Old Colony 14, Tri-County 1: Stu Burnham had four goals and four assists while Luke Meelia added five goals and two assists for the Cougars (5-2, 5-1 MAC). Mason Belanger chipped in with two goals and one assist.

Apponequet 23, GNB Voc-Tech 7: Kenny Wisniewski led the Lakers (5-2, 4-0 SCC) with seven goals and three assists while Will Levrault had four goals and three assists and Jake Cusson contributed three goals and eight assists. Colin McKay had three goals and three assists. Hunter Owen made four saves. For GNB Voc-Tech (1-5, 0-3 SCC), Nathan Pearson set a school record with his 114th career goal with two in the game. Kevin O’Brien won 14 faceoffs and had one goal, one assist and six ground balls. AJ Pragana scored four goals and had two assists while Robert Fortes made nine saves.

SOFTBALL

Seekonk 6, Old Rochester 2: Tara Goldman had 10 strikeouts while Rylee Kouta made two pop-up catches behind the plate and had a deep hit into left field for ORR (3-6, 1-3 SCC). Madison Mello had a two-run single following a Laila Brown bunt.

St. Mary’s 15, Bishop Stang 3: Katie Manzone and Avery Clough both went 2-for-3 for Bishop Stang (2-6, 1-3 CCL) while Sophie Brousseau was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Somerset Berkley 14, Fairhaven 0 (5 innings): Sydney Merusi went 1-for-2 for Fairhaven (4-5, 2-2 SCC).

New Bedford 29, Brockton 8: Ava Kaplan went 5-for-5 with four singles and one double, scored two runs and had five RBIs to power the Whalers (3-3, 2-0 SEC). Ivy Mattos had four hits and four RBIs while Belle Almeida and Amelia Davis each had three hits, four runs scored and four RBIs. Hayleigh Chenard was the winning pitcher.

Apponequet 17, West Bridgewater 2 (5 innings): Sarah DelVecchio pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on six hits and two walks with one strikeout for the Lakers (5-3, 3-1 SCC). Morgan Saraceno went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored while Eva Zuber was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Lauren Bernaiche was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored and Arianna Camara went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Kate Suneson was 1-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored.

BASEBALL

Apponequet 8, West Bridgewater 0: Dylan Bradley (3-0) pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing six hits with three walks while striking out three. The Lakers (6-1, 3-1 SCC) turned two double plays with the Cam Sylvia, Ryan Levesque and Lucas Tremblay combination. Caiden Cyr had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs while Bradley had two hits and an RBI. Levesque had two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored while Gabe Zuber had two hits and two runs scored.

St. Mary’s 7, Bishop Stang 3: Drew Taylor went 3-for-4 while Brock Winslow and Landon Cardoza were both 2-for-3 for Bishop Stang (2-6, 0-3 CCL).

Seekonk 10, Old Rochester 0: Colin Mello took the loss for ORR (3-6, 1-3 SCC), allowing nine hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Malcolm Bean had a single for the Bulldogs.

Brockton 5, New Bedford 3: Joe Castelo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored while JT Goodine added a two-run single and Jaren Goodine was 1-for-3 with a run scored and three stolen bases for New Bedford (1-6, 0-2 SEC). Danny Rocha was 1-for-2 with two walks. Four of Brockton’s five runs were unearned.

Case 7, GNB Voc-Tech 6: The Bears (2-5, 0-4 SCC) lost on a walk-off as Tyler Vasconcelos took the loss. Cam Cabral led Voc-Tech with three hits, including a solo home run. Chase Lagoa had two hits and Jack Anderson collected his first two varsity hits.

BOYS TENNIS

Wareham 5, St. John Paul II 0: The Vikings (2-5) got wins from No. 1 Boon Oulette (6-1, 6-0), No. 2 Landon Stewart (6-0, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Ajani Bunting and Brett Brophy (6-3, 6-1).

Bishop Stang 5, Middleboro 0: The Spartans got wins from No. 1 Brian Ward (6-2, 6-3), No. 2 Tommy Clavell (6-0, 6-0), No. 3 Noah Yetman (6-3, 7-5), the first doubles team of Nick Hutchens and Stephen O’Neil (6-3, 6-2) and the second doubles team of Patrick Murray and Chris Lemaire (7-5, 6-7 (4-7),10-7).

GIRLS TENNIS

Wareham 4, Dighton-Rehoboth 1: The Vikings (7-0, 1-0 MAC) got wins from No. 1 Brooklyn Bindas (6-0, 6-0), No. 2 Julia McDuffy (6-0, 6-1), No. 3 Stoney Ferry (6-2, 7-5) and the first doubles team of Keira Pierre and Evie Francis (6-4, 6-0).

BOYS TRACK

Dartmouth 101, New Bedford 29: Dartmouth (1-1) got first-place finishes from Peter Quinn in the 400 hurdles and 110 hurdles, Townes Moore in the triple jump and 400, Andre Capataz in the shot put (state-qualifying time) and discus, Tyler Medeiros in the mile and high jump, Maddox Dupre in the 100 and 200 (state-qualifying time), Liam Gillis in the javelin (state-qualifying throw) and Trent Farnworth in the 800.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Taunton 1: Carter Barbosa powered the undefeated Whalers (8-0, 2-0) with 42 assists and 12 digs. Nyron Foster had 15 kills and five aces while Juan Grau Montano added 14 kills. Nick Rosa had seven kills and 13 digs while Davon Centeio had 12 digs. Brooklyn Rodrigues contributed eight digs and Amir Salih Tavares added five kills.

Tuesday, April 23

GIRLS LACROSSE

Dartmouth 13, Old Rochester 6: Grace Haskell erupted for eight goals while Sarah Kelly had six assists to lead Dartmouth (2-4, 1-0 SEC) to victory. Madison Goldizen had two goals and one assist while Kyla Martin added two goals. Makai Vincent chipped in with three assists.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Brockton 0: Carter Barbosa had 28 assists and nine digs for the undefeated Whalers (7-0, 2-0 SEC). Juan Grau Montano had nine kills and seven digs while Nyron Foster and Nick Rosa added seven kills apiece. Davon Centeio had 20 digs.

SOFTBALL

Wareham 31, Dennis-Yarmouth 6 (5 innings): Madison Nereu went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs, five runs scored in addition to pitching five innings, allowing no earned runs on three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts as Wareham (6-2) surpassed last year’s win total. Jolee Anderson went 5-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBIs and five runs scored while Jossalyn Anctil was 3-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and four runs scored. Savannah Varden was 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBIs and five runs scored. Sawyer Boutin went 2-for-5 with her first varsity grand slam. She had four RBIs and three runs scored.

Old Colony 34, Bristol-Aggie 15: Sharon Delancey was the winning pitcher for Old Colony (2-3, 2-1 MAC Small). Kayleigh DeSousa went 4-for-4 with seven RBIs, six runs scored and a home run. Emma Yelle was 4-for-5 with four runs scored, three RBIs and a stolen base while Leah Robitaille was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Laila Servis was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored while Patty Spillane was 2-for-2 with four runs scored and four RBIs.

GIRLS TRACK

GNB Voc-Tech 76, Seekonk 65: Winners for Voc-Tech were Shelby Ruffley in the 400 hurdles, javelin and 200, Maddy Duarte in the high jump and mile, Elana Aponte in the 2-mile and Kalina Lowney in the 100 hurdles.

BOYS TRACK

GNB Voc-Tech 93, Seekonk 42: The undefeated Bears (2-0) got wins from Jarred Quan in the 100 and 200, Owen Vieira in the 110 hurdles, Nate Fernandes in the 400, James Underwood in the long jump, Jason Duclos in the 800, Chase Alves in the 2-mile, Adam Gadd in the shot put, Jon Santiago in the javelin, Dan Ward in the 400 hurdles and Nate Rodriguez in the mile.

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 4, Dighton-Rehoboth 1: Both Will Horton and Judson Cardinali came back to win the second sets after losing the first sets. Horton went on to win 3-6, 6-4, 11-9 at No. 1 while Cardinali fell short 6-4, 0-6, 10-6 at No. 3. Apponequet (5-0, 3-0 SCC) also got wins from No. 2 Nate Belmore (6-3, 6-1), the first doubles team of Ethan Clark and Ryan Abreau (6-1, 6-3) and the second doubles team of Nick Connolly and Nathaniel Kumlin (6-1, 6-0).

Old Rochester 3, Somerset Berkley 2: The Bulldogs captured wins from No. 1 Jacob Hadley (4-6, 6-4, 6-0), No. 2 Peter le Gassick (7-5, 6-3) and the first doubles team of Zack Mourao and Chase Besancon (6-2, 4-6, 7-5).

SOFTBALL

Apponequet 8, Case 3: The Lakers (4-3, 2-1 SCC) handed the defending state champions their first loss of 2024. Lauren Bernaiche pitched a complete game, allowing three earned runs off seven hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. Christina Magnett went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored while Caleigh Venuti was 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Arianna Camara was 1-for-3 with a walk and home run. Hailey DaRosa went 2-for-3.

Somerset Berkley 10, GNB Voc-Tech 1: The Bears (4-2, 2-1 SCC) managed just five hits and Ava Neno had the only RBI of the day. Ana Tsonis went the distance, allowing 10 runs on 11 hits with three hits and the Bears committing two errors.

Dighton-Rehoboth 14, Old Rochester 1: Caitlin O’Donnell scored the lone run for ORR (3-5, 1-2 SCC) off an RBI double from Tara Goldman, who had six strikeouts in three innings on the mound.

Fairhaven 18, West Bridgewater 11: Arden Bradshaw was the winning pitcher for Fairhaven (4-4, 2-1 SCC). Stella Zangao went 4-for-5 with a double and five RBIs while Ava Morrison was 4-for-5. Kaia Furtado went 3-for-6 with a home run and two RBIs while Sydney Merusi was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBis. Elaine Monroe (four RBIs), Emma Gomes (three RBIs) and Alyin Haworth (RBI) all went 3-for-5.

New Bedford 18, Durfee 6: Hayleigh Chenard was the winning pitcher for New Bedford (2-3, 1-0 SEC), allowing six runs (three earned) off eight hits and three walks while striking out 10. At the plate, Chenard went 2-for-2 with a single, solo home run and three runs scored. Annabelle Huston was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and three RBIs while JJ Greene was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs. .

Wareham 22, Avon 2 (5 innings): The Vikings (5-2, 1-1 Mayflower Comprehensive) captured their second straight win as Madison Nereu pitched a five-inning no-hitter with one earned run and 12 strikeouts. She also went 1-for-2 at the plate with four runs scored and two RBIs. Olivia LaCava was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored while Jossalyn Anctil was 2-for-6 with three runs scored. Jolee Anderson went 2-for-4 with a double and grand slam with six RBIs and two runs scored. Savannah Varden was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored while Samantha Purcell went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Bryanna Troupe went 1-for-1 with her first varsity hit and scored a run. Sawyer Boutin was 1-for-2 with a double and three RBIs.

Dartmouth 7, Westport 3: Jayden Claudio (1-0) got the win in relief, giving up one run off one hit in three innings for Dartmouth (5-1, 1-0 SEC). Louie Freitas started the game, allowing two unearned runs off two hits while striking out four in three innings. Justin Cleves went 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Madden Ollila was 2-for-4.

Fairhaven 10, West Bridgewater 1: Colby Correia had a bases-loaded clearing double in the fourth inning and a three-run home run in the sixth for Fairhaven (4-3, 3-1 SCC). He finished with six RBIs and two runs scored. Chase Feno went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored while Nikko Morris was 1-for-2 with a run scored, stolen base and RBI. Sam Simone went 1-for-1 with his first varsity hit. Christopher Blake was 1-for-2 with a walk, double and run scored while Scott Joseph was 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Jason Perry pitched six innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit and three walks while striking out nine.

Case 3, Apponequet 1: The Lakers (5-1, 2-1 SCC) only had three infield hits with one apiece from Seth Richards, Dylan Bradley and Justin Serrecchia as they suffered their first loss of the season. Gabe Zuber pitched six innings, striking out six while allowing five hits and walking six with two hit batsmen.

Somerset Berkley 11, GNB Voc-Tech 0: Cam Cabral and Illiam Santiago each had a hit for the Bears.

Nauset 9, Bishop Stang 8: Drew Taylor went 3-for-3 for Bishop Stang (2-5, 0-2 CCL) with two RBIs and a run scored while Matt Burt was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Bobby Rooney was 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Apponequet 20, Middleboro 4: Abby Bradley notched seven goals to power the Lakers (4-1) while Jayleigh Howart added four goals and Niamh Gallagher chipped in with three. Cynthia Morales and Leah McGee scored once each. Ally Arruda made eight saves.

New Bedford 15, Bourne 4: Violet Lopes led the Whalers (4-4) with four goals while Peighton Sousa, Hannah Blanchard and Olivia Medeiros each had two goals and one assist. Anette Bennett-Tucker made eight saves.

St. Mary’s 7, Bishop Stang 6: Sydney Plouffe and Molly Kearney had two goals apiece while Sofie Doucet and Caroline Hopkins added one goal each for Stang (3-5, 1-4 CCL).

BOYS LACROSSE

Bishop Stang 13, St. Mary’s 3: Eli Ikkela led the Spartans (3-3, 3-2 CCL) with four goals and three assists while Andrew Lally added three goals and three assists and Miles Millan chipped in with three goals. Will Sanders had 11 saves.

Apponequet 21, Middleboro 2: Kenny Wisniewski had six goals and five assists while Will Levrault had six goals and two assists for Apponequet (4-2, 3-0 SCC). Jake Cusson added three goals and eight assists while Colin McKay had three goals and two assists. Kevin O’Connor won 15 faceoffs. Hunter Owen had five saves while Braden Baril added three.

South Shore 9, Old Colony 8: The Cougars (4-2, 4-1 MAC) got three goals apiece from Stu Burnham and Brody Darling while Mason Belanger added two goals.
