South Dakota's high school cross country season concluded with state meet on Saturday

Forty-one area athletes have been named to the 2023 South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association's Academic All-State cross country teams.

Area honorees, by school, include:

Aberdeen Central — Rylan Johnson, Gauge Smith and Christian Wells.

Aberdeen Roncalli — Bella Martinez, Paige Schmidt, Sarah Schmidt and Beau Price.

Arlington — Jada Henriksen and Nicole Steffensen.

Clark-Willow Lake — Emma Peterson, Macy Bochek and Danielle Batchelor.

Frederick Area — Chloe Arneson, Sofia Losure, Laura Sumption and Morgan Sumption.

Great Plains Lutheran — Halle Bauer.

State Cross Country: Class B champion Potter County among eight teams, 38 area runners to receive awards

Hitchcock-Tulare — Cambree McNeil and Josiah Wiebe.

Milbank — James Batchelor, Isaac Graham, Kynlee Speidel, Nadia Thue, Stella Wendland and Jaclyn Wiik.

Mobridge-Pollock — Logan Vetch and Heidi Olson.

Northwestern — Lincoln Woodring.

Potter County — Nicholas Schlachter and Sean Seurer.

Summit — Madison Zirbel, Eva Benike and Allison Bauer.

Tri-State — Kaleb Foltz.
