The Washington Wizards will sign veteran guard Ramon Sessions to a 10-day contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Sessions, 31, is expected to join the Wizards on Friday. He has been a free agent since the New York Knicks released him in January to create roster spot for Trey Burke.

The Wizards have searched for guard depth while John Wall has been sidelined because of knee surgery. Tomas Satoransky and Tim Frazier have received the point-guard minutes during Wall’s absence.

Sessions played parts of two seasons with the Wizards from 2015-16 and is an 11-year veteran. He appeared in 13 games for the Knicks this season.
