Marvin Mims may not have been able to get a better landing spot if he were to pick which team he went to in the NFL draft. Landing with the Denver Broncos with the final pick of the second round gives him an opportunity to be a game-changing weapon in new head coach Sean Payton’s offense.

In Denver, Mims will play with future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson in an offense that has a chance to be one of the best in the NFL

Mims’ explosive ability has been compared to guys like Emmanuel Sanders, Brandin Cooks, but he also has some Tyler Lockett in him. Cooks had a great career with Sean Payton before heading to New England in a trade. Lockett thrived with Russell Wilson before the quarterback was traded to the Broncos.

Mims’ ability to win down the field is such a huge asset. Because NFL defenses are so good, finding ways to create chunk plays is of incredible importance. Marvin Mims is a chunk-play machine.

The Broncos didn’t have a first or second round pick in this year’s draft but moved up into the second to take Marvin Mims. It’s a pick that looks generally well-received by the media and fans alike.
