Social media is buzzing ahead of Auburn’s season opener against UMass
Auburn football is finally back and the excitement is palpable. Not only are fans excited to watch their Tigers in action, but there is confidence in what Hugh Freeze is building and that he can get Auburn back to competing for SEC titles.
It may take a couple of seasons for that, but with his great work through the transfer portal, Auburn’s roster is drastically different from the one that went 5-7 last season.
They will start the season with a game against the UMass Minutemen in Jordan-Hare Stadium. UMass comes into the game with some momentum after winning their Week 0 matchup with New Mexico State and they are looking to spoil the start of the Freeze era on the Plains, which will start at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be on ESPN.
