Soccer star Neymar announces second child, first with girlfriend Bruna Biancardi, on the way
A baby is on the way for soccer superstar Neymar and his girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi.
The couple made the announcement of Biancardi's pregnancy on Wednesday with a shared Instagram post. The gallery included a picture of them kissing while Neymar held his hands in the shape of a heart over her bare belly.
"We dream of your life, we plan your arrival and knowing that you are here to complete our love makes our days much happier," the caption, translated from Portuguese, read. "You will arrive in a beautiful family, with a brother, grandparents, aunties and aunties who already love you so much! Come soon child, we are looking forward to you!"
They also referenced the Bible verse Jeremiah 1:5, which says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."
This will be Neymar's second child. The Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil national team forward has a 12-year-old son, Davi Lucca, with his ex-girlfriend Carolina Dantas. He received criticism upon the announcement of his first child as Neymar was just 19 and ascending in his soccer career when he had Davi.
"You can't listen to criticism or care about what people think," Neymar said in the documentary "The Perfect Chaos." "I trust myself and that's it. That's how I carry on with my life. It's what I was taught, what I teach my son."
Neymar first started dating Biancardi, a social media influencer, in 2021. They made their relationship public in 2022 and had a few-months hiatus before reconciling late last year.
He had ankle surgery last month, which ended his season with the Ligue 1 club.
