SNHU women fall in NCAA soccer tournament

Nov. 19—The Southern New Hampshire women's soccer team saw its season come to a close Sunday with a 2-0 loss to top-seeded College of Saint Rose in the NCAA Div. II women's soccer tournament's East Region..

The game was scoreless until the 83rd minute when Saint Rose finally broke through on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead.

Saint Rose sealed the win just 1 minute, 24 seconds later with its second goal of the game for a 2-0 advantage.

Saint Rose outshot SNHU 15-8 overall and had a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Claudia Keith made six saves for SNHU.

SNHU, the No. 5 seed in the East Region, entered Sunday's game unbeaten in nine of its last 10 games and closes its season with a 10-5-5 record.
