Slug-A-Bug '70 team goes undefeated, wins May Day Softball Tournament in Port St. Lucie

Slug-A-Bug '70 team won the May Day Softball Tournament on May 5 at Sandhill Crane Park Softball Complex in Port St. Lucie.

The team went 4-0.

In the first game Saturday, Slug-A-Bug won 26-8 over the South Florida Bulls of West Palm Beach.

They won the second game over the Ultissimo Longhorns of Naples 21-10.

On Sunday, they defeated Team Flagler from Bunnell 18-15 in the first game.

And in the championship game, they defeated the South Florida Bulls 14-8.

Offensive leaders include Joe Duchemin (.929), Dave Whitney (.824), Larry Cudney (.813), Paul (Shadow) Uzialko (.750), Lou Jainnine (.708) and Tom Demsey (.688).

Slug-A-Bug's team batting average was .716.
