Skip Bayless believes Bill Belichick is the one to blame for recent losses

How quickly can a team go from a potential threat in their conference to a dud that appears completely uninspired?

Look no further than the New England Patriots.

Following their 33-6 defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, the Patriots have found themselves with a 2-4 record. The most recent loss made it three-in-a-row for New England, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished by the franchise since 2002.

Now, slices of the blame pie are being handed out to just about everyone involved in the season. However, FOX Sports’ Skip Bayless has one person who should be shouldering the blame for the lack of success.

There did seem to be a rift between Bill Belichick and Tom Brady over the quarterbacks last few seasons in New England. That’s why it wasn’t all that surprising when he was considering leaving the team that employed him for the last two decades.

Fans of the Patriots certainly had to have a tough weekend if they spent time catching up on their old quarterback down in Tampa Bay. While the Patriots were making the decision to bench Cam Newton after three interceptions, Tom Brady was lighting up the Raiders to the tune of 369 yards and five total touchdowns.

On top of that, Rob Gronkowski is beginning to look like his old self again as the Patriots can’t seem to get any production out of their tight ends.

Two guys who were once so instrumental in everything the Patriots stood for are tearing it up with their new team while New England is floundering.

It may not be right to put all of the blame on the coach, but he certainly deserves his fair share.
