Sixers will send rookie Isaiah Joe to Blue Coats in the G League

The G League is used for younger guys to get experience playing at the professional level and to develop their game. The Philadelphia 76ers have used it in the past with guys such as Shake Milton, for example, to make sure they get the necessary court time.

They are doing the same with rookie Paul Reed who has been with the team’s affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, down in the bubble in Orlando. He has been playing well and continuing to develop and now the same will be done for the team’s other second-round rookie, Isaiah Joe.

The Sixers will send Joe down to Orlando in order for him to continue to develop and get the court time. Coach Doc Rivers did say that he would give Joe a look in the rotation, but it looks like now he will continue with Furkan Korkmaz.

Joe has played 20 games with the Sixers and he has averaged 4.3 points and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 38.3% from deep. He will be able to hone his skills a bit more with the Blue Coats and make his impact down there before an eventual return to Philadelphia.
