Sixers president Daryl Morey calls out MVP voters in support of Joel Embiid
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is one of the top players in the game regardless of position. The big fella is just incredible out on the floor as he is averaging 33.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 53.7% from the floor.
Despite those incredible numbers, Embiid isn’t necessarily getting all of the MVP love that Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is getting. Embiid has come up short to Jokic in the running for MVP two years in a row despite Denver being just the No. 6 seed in 2022. It might be the same for Embiid this season considering Denver is the No. 1 seed in the West and Joker is averaging a triple-double now.
President Daryl Morey took to Twitter to call out MVP voters in support of Embiid.

At the end of the day, a championship is much more important than the MVP award. Sure, it’s an important award and it’s cool to have, but if Embiid were to carry the Sixers to a title in 2023, that would mean much more than winning this regular season award.
