Sixers’ Joel Embiid reacts to Kevin Durant requesting trade from Nets

While the Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of making sure they are in a good position going forward and into the future, the Brooklyn Nets made the biggest heading into free agency on Thursday night.

The Nets received word that superstar Kevin Durant has requested a trade and that set the Twitter world ablaze in the NBA. What was once deemed as one of the best duos in the league in the form of Durant and Kyrie Irving now seems to be completely falling apart.

Sixers star big man Joel Embiid took to Twitter to give his reaction to the news with a very simple acronym that everybody knows.

The news about Durant is mind-boggling and Embiid has the right sentiment here to just laugh in disbelief. The idea with the Nets was that they would have Durant, Irving, and Ben Simmons heading into the 2022-23 season and contend with those three leading the way.

Now? Durant looks to be on his way out and he has two teams at the top of his list: the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns.
