Six priority recruiting targets for Texas football in the 2024 class

Texas hosted several top 2024 prospects for Junior Day last weekend.

The Longhorns only have two verbal commitments for the 2024 recruiting class at this time in four-star quarterback Trey Owens and four-star athlete Hunter Moddon.

However, Steve Sarkisian’s staff appears to be gaining steam on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks. Five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson received a recruiting prediction in favor of Texas recently, and five-star EDGE Colin Simmons appeared to receive an Arch Manning type of treatment in Austin.

The Longhorns now seem to be in good standing with several of the top rated prospects in the state, along with the nation’s No. 1 running back in the country.

Here’s a look at six priority targets for Texas this cycle.
