Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson suspended 2 games for hit on Kings' Wagner
The NHL has suspended San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson for two games following his hit to the head of Los Angeles Kings forward Austin Wagner.

On Saturday afternoon, during the second period of the Sharks’ contest against the Kings, Karlsson Wagner up high with a hit that made contact with his head.

Wagner was certainly shaken up on the play. As you can see in the video below, the Kings forward looked a little woozy as he attempted to make his way off the ice.
After the game, it was reported that the Kings’ forward suffered an upper-body injury. There is no timetable in place yet for his return.
Karlsson, who was playing on San Jose’s top defensive pairing and powerplay unit, will most likely be replaced by Brent Burns on both fronts.
The Swedish defenseman will be eligible to return for the team’s game on Dec. 29 in Edmonton.
