Seth Curry out vs. Grizzlies, Sixers to start Furkan Korkmaz in his place

As the Philadelphia 76ers get set to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, they got some tough news when they found out they would be without their sharpshooting guard out on the perimeter.

Seth Curry, who is having a career season for the Sixers, has been ruled out due to right shoulder soreness. It is a tough loss for Philadelphia as they will need to replace his ball-handling and his shooting in the lineup next to Joel Embiid.

In his place, the Sixers will turn to Furkan Korkmaz. He will start next to Embiid, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, and Matisse Thybulle. Philadelphia is bringing Dany Green off the bench again.

Korkmaz will be looking to bust out his slump. He is shooting just 19.2% from deep on 4.2 attempts per game over the previous 16 games. That has brought his 3-point percentage down to 30.2% on the season so this will be another opportunity for him to get it done in place of Curry.

The Sixers and the Grizzlies will tipoff at 8 p.m. EST on Monday from the FedEx Forum.
