SEE IT: Mets' Ronny Mauricio lines a double in first MLB at-bat

Mets prospect Ronny Mauricio made his presence known in his first at-bat when he lined a double in first major league at-bat.

Leading off the third inning, the switch-hitter -- hitting from the left side -- worked Mariners starter Logan Gilbert to a 2-2 count when the righty tried to drive a 96 mph fastball past the infielder but Mauricio turned on it and drove the ball to right field.

Mariners right fielder Teoscar Hernandez did not read the ball well and had it sail over his head for a double. The ball went 117 mph off the bat, the hardest hit ball by a Met all season.

Mauricio, 22, hit 26 home runs and drove in 89 runs last season for Double-A Binghamton. This season with Triple-A Syracuse, Mauricio has 23 home runs and 71 RBI.
