Section V's top players from Friday: Hilton running back has third straight TD hat trick

Here are the top performances in the Friday evening games during the third block of games in Section V football:

Bradin Allen, Attica/Alexander: Completed 9 of 13 passes for 107 yards to defeat East Rochester/Gananda 21-18. Trent Woods was his top receiver with four receptions for 54 yards.

Elijah Bender, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Made seven tackles, including a sack, Zayden Reed recovered a fumble, Zaiden Vandurme Blackmon, Reese Dixon and Aiden Schafer came up with interceptions during a 16-0 loss to Geneva.

Alex Bernardi, Newark/Marion: Boosted his season total to 10 touchdown passes, with four against Mynderse Academy while completing 5 of 7 passes for 194 yards. The Reds won 37-0.

Clayton Bezon, Attica/Alexander: Collected seven tackles and a sack during a 21-18 win over East Rochester/Gananda. Sam Strezlec added seven tackles.

Dakari Buchanan, Edison merged: Intercepted a pass and made six tackles during a 41-6 loss to University Prep.

Bronx Buchholz, Batavia: The junior quarterback completed 11 of 24 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown during a 21-14 loss at Honeoye Falls-Lima.

Tavion Byrd, University Prep: Threw two touchdown passes, one to Tyrell Simmons and the other to Juelz Russell, during a 41-6 win over Edison merged.

Ryan Clark, Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield: Crossed the goal line three times during a 32-8 win over Port Byron from the Syracuse region: a touchdown run while finishing with 86 yards on 15 carries and on two two-point conversions.

Rey DeJesus, Geneva: Panthers quarterback made it to the end zone twice, scoring both of the team's touchdowns while carrying the ball during a 16-0 win over Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton.

John DiBattisto, Hilton: Linebacker returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown, made seven tackles and had a rushing touchdown for the team's offense, as the Cadets defeated Rush-Henrietta 55-12.

Connor Finn, Honeoye Falls-Lima: The junior made the play of the game when he deflected the potential game-tying pass in the end zone with 36 seconds left. He also caught an interception and scored a touchdown on 25 yards rushing during a 21-14 win over Batavia.

Mekhi Fortes, Batavia: The senior running back had 16 carries for 155 yards, scored an 81-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, and had six tackles, during a 21-14 loss at Honeoye Falls-Lima.

Kellen Foster, Newark/Marion: Running back/receiver caught two touchdown passes which covered 60 yards during a 37-0 win over Mynderse Academy.

Cole Grazioplene, Batavia: Caught five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown during a 21-14 loss at Honeoye Falls-Lima.

Case Hill, Attica/Alexander: Collected eight tackles and an interception during a 21-18 win over East Rochester/Gananda.

Andy Kelly, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Senior defensive lineman made nine tackles, three behind the line of scrimmage, to help his team defeat Livonia 36-15.

Noah Leitten, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Finished with 114 receiving yards, including a 78-yard touchdown, on three receptions and made nine tackles as Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw defeated Livonia 36-15.

Robert Lowry, Hilton: Scored three rushing touchdowns while gaining 112 yards on 12 carries during a 55-12 win over Rush-Henrietta.

Matt Meacham, Honeoye Falls-Lima: The senior quarterback completed 16 of 25 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns, made all three PATs, and punted the ball to Batavia's seven-yard line, during a 21-14 win over the Blue Devils.

Jaylyn Melton, University Prep: Returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown, as UPrep defeated Edison merged 41-6. UPrep is 3-0.

Isaiah Moonschein, University Prep: Recovered two fumbles returning one 32 yards for a touchdown during a 41-6 win over Edison merged.

Mason Nolan, Hilton: Cadets linebacker made six tackles during the team's 55-12 win over Rush-Henrietta.

Antonio Peasante, Geneva: Defensive end recovered a fumble, had two quarterback sacks and made three tackles, two for a loss of yardage, as the Panthers were 16-0 winners over Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton.

Tony Piazza, LeRoy: Led the Oatkan Knights in rushing with 152 yards with a touchdown on 20 carries, caught one pass for 24 yards and made seven tackles, one for a loss, during a 36-16 win over Lyons/Sodus.

Xavier Praylor, Geneva: Linebacker, with five tackles and a forced fumble was part of a strong defensive effort that included two fumble recoveries by defensive back Travis Tolbert Jr. Geneva defeated Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton 16-0.

Myles Prendergast, Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield: Made seven tackles and broke up two passes, while teammates Harry Kestler made six tackles and Jared Lee made five, including a quarterback sack during a 32-8 win over Port Byron from the Syracuse region or Section III.

CJ Robinson, University Prep: Gained 64 yards and scored a touchdown on two carries during a 41-6 win over Edison merged.

Bailey Schell, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Scored two touchdowns, including a 50-yard run, on nine carries for 85 yards during his team's 36-15 win over Livonia.

Bryce Tallman, Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw: Quarterback threw two touchdown passes, including a 78-yarder to Noah Leitten, during the team's 36-15 win over Livonia. Tallman was intercepted once as he completed 7 of 15 throws for 170 yards.

Landyn Thomas, Attica/Alexander: Rushed 17 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner with 1:24 remaining, to defeat East Rochester/Gananda 21-18.

Michael Thomas, Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield: Scored two rushing touchdowns, scored on a two-point conversion and finished with 95yards on 11 carries during a 32-8 win over Port Byron from the Syracuse region.

Colton Thorpe, Hilton: Cadets quarterback rushed for 158 yards on six carries during a 55-12 win over Rush-Henrietta.

Gunner Vogel, Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield: Scored a touchdown while gaining 120 yards on eight carries and scored a two-point conversion during the team's 32-8 win over Port Byron from Section III or Syracuse region.

Andrew Wanzenried, Honeoye Falls-Lima: The senior receiver returned from an injury to register six receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner midway through the fourth, during a 21-14 win over Batavia.

Owen Wetterings, Livonia: Scored the team's touchdowns - a 10-yard run and a nine-yard reception - rushed for 88 yards on 18 carries and made eight tackles during a 36-15 loss to Letchworth/Perry/Warsaw.

Devyn Williams, Lyons/Sodus: Had a 66-yard touchdown reception, recovered five tackles and recovered a fumble during a 36-16 loss to LeRoy. Marcus Asberry also recovered a fumble during a 36-16 loss to LeRoy.
