Seahawks down 2 spots in USA TODAY’s latest NFL power rankings

With the dust settling on the first wave of free agency and the 2021 NFL draft just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the latest power rankings.

Nate Davis of USA TODAY has the Seahawks slipping two slots – from No. 8 down to No. 10. Davis places the blame – for lack of a better word – on Seattle’s star quarterback.

“While the division is improving around them, they’re dealing with a damage-control offseason in the winter of Russell Wilson’s discontent,” Davis writes.

It’s no secret Wilson was not pleased with the Seahawks’ offensive line performance last season but Seattle has at least attempted to address the issue with the addition of guard Gabe Jackson, who was acquired in a trade with the Raiders and promptly given a three-year extension.
