Seacoast roundup: Pratt, Jean-Baptiste score in tie between Portsmouth, Winnacunnet

HAMPTON - Woodley Jean-Baptiste's goal late in the first half tied the game, and the Portsmouth High School boys soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with rival Winnacunnet on Tuesday in a Division I match.

The teams played through two scoreless 10-minute overtime sessions, resulting in a tie.

Winnacunnet's Miles Pratt, on an assist from TJ Enright gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead 15 minutes into the match. Goalie Tyler Blank had eight saves for Winnacunnet (8-4-3). Portsmouth is now 6-6-3.

BOYS SOCCER

St. Thomas Aquinas 12

DOVER - Owen Simas had five goals and one assist for St. Thomas Aquinas in this Division III shutout.

Angus Forman and William Hughes both had two goals and two assists for the Saints, while Ryan Whiting, Alejandro Serrano, Ethan Levine and Aaron Hughes all had one goal.

Traip Academy 3

Lake Region 0

KITTERY, Maine - Ivan Blanco scored two goals and Terry Gagner added the third, his first varsity goal, leading Traip to this Class C South win.

Mason Carter, Makili Matty, and Adrian Gonzales all had an assist for the Rangers, who got two saves from goalie Jack Downs. Lake Region goalie Justen McCubrey had 12 saves.

Traip ended its regular season with a record of 10-3-1 and will host a playoff game next week.

PORTLAND, Maine - The Hawks ended their regular season with a record of 3-10-1 after this Class A South loss at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

GRAY, Maine - Robbie Hanscom had two goals, and Connor Roberge had one for York in this Class B South win.

Sam Hunter and Zac Tremblay both had an assist for the Wildcats, who got one save from Lukas Bouchard.

ROCHESTER - Dylan Drunsic had two goals, and Marshall Lasewicz, George Bergin, Jovanie Lopez, Billy Helliesen and Will Manix each had one for Exeter in this Division I win.

Exeter goalie Alex Fooa had four saves.

NAPLES, Maine - Bella Smith scored on a goal off a scramble on the goal line after a corner kick for Class B Lake Region.

Lilly Stuart had eight saves for Class C Traip, while counterpart Jordan Blanton had three.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Marshwood junior goalie Lana Emery had 13 saves in this Class A South loss.

PORTSMOUTH -- Annie Parker scored three goals, and Morgan Ruhnke scored a goal as the Clippers won this Division I matchup on Portsmouth senior night.

Ruhnke, Ailish Honda and Grace Ward had an assist, while Cate Baroni, Katie Yeaton and Emma Jeffrey played well defensively.

WINDHAM, Maine - Eva Hersey, Shannen Maldoni, Isabel Rothwell and Erika Parker each scored a goal for Marshwood, which earned its first Class A South road win.

PORTSMOUTH - The Clippers improved to 11-5 with this Division I win.

Individual game scores were 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Portsmouth celebrated it seniors before the game - Margaret Montplaisir, Georgia Pinciaro, Pia Brewster, Maddie MacCannell, Renee Martin, and Eva Lalime.

Pinciaro had nine kills for the Clippers, while Montplaisir had six. Roe Beland (eight kills, nine blocks), Lalime (23 assists, five service aces) and Martin (14 digs) starred for Portsmouth.

Grace Kelly had two kills for Dover (12-4).
