St. Pauls ran all the way to the 2-AA state championship game last season. This year's run has ended in the regional semifinals.

The No. 5-seeded Bulldogs (11-1, 5-1) fell at No. 1 Princeton (13-0, 7-0) on Friday night, 45-28, in the fourth round of NCHSAA playoffs.

Princeton will face Wallace-Rose Hill with a trip to the state championship on the line next Friday.

St. Pauls led 22-13 at halftime, The Robesonian's Chris Stiles reported, with Kemarion Baldwin scoring a pair of touchdowns and Mikail Bredden adding another.

Baldwin added another touchdown after Princeton scored to put St. Pauls up 28-21, but the Bulldogs would go scoreless the rest of the way.

The only other Cape Fear region team in action Friday night, Scotland fell to Greenville Rose 49-28.

The Scots were the lowest remaining seed in the field at No. 23, and No. 6 Rose knocked off No. 3 Seventy-First in Round 3 last week.
