Scores, live updates from Hudson Valley high school football for Week 3

Week 3 of the high school football season is underway, with Newburgh defeating Pine Bush 56-20 in Thursday's game thanks to 211 yards and four touchdowns from Tajir Walker.

More games are slated for Friday, with Beacon at James I. O'Neill kicking off the action at 6:30 p.m.

Our weekly reader picks poll was correct for Thursday's matchup, with readers choosing Newburgh by 73%.

As for Friday's picks, Minisink Valley is favored over Port Jervis, Marlboro has more votes than Goshen and Wallkill won big over Cornwall. Voting is still open for Saturday's Valley Central at Monroe-Woodbury, Kingston at Middletown, Chester at Burke, Warwick at Monticello and Liberty at Saugerties games.
