Scarsdale, Brewster roll through regionals and into NYSPHSAA semifinals

Scarsdale and Brewster are heading to states.

The Section 1 champions advanced through regional play and will be at Cortland High School on June 1 for a NYSPHSAA semifinal. The Raiders will play Section 5 winner Penfield or Section 6 winner Clarence in a Division 1 game at 11:30 a.m. The Bears will play Section 5 winner Bishop Kearney or Section 6 winner Pioneer in a Division 2 game at 4 p.m.

A win puts them in the state title game on Sunday.

Scarsdale 33, Monroe-Woodbury 0

Sc: Ivy Boockvar threw for 371 yards to lead the Raiders. She also ran for 29 yards and had 25 yards receiving along with one touchdown. Seka Slivianovski had 124 yards receiving and two touchdowns, Stella VanArsdale had 76 yards receiving and one touchdown, Gia Asen had 64 yards receiving and one touchdown. She also made seven tackles. Emilia Gomez made six tackles and Leah Brown registered five tackles, including one sack. Lily Tessler snagged a pair of interceptions.
