Here are Saturday's high school sports results for the Appleton and Green Bay area

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Fox Valley Lutheran Invitational

APPLETON - The Foxes won the championship at their own tournament.

FVL took first place in Pool A by beating Oconto 25-7, 25-14, Menasha 25-13, 25-14 and Sheboygan Christian 25-11, 25-15.

In bracket play, Oconto defeated New Holstein, Sheboygan Christian defeated New London, Winnebago Lutheran beat Menasha, FVL beat Oconto 25-6, 25-12 and WLA beat Sheboygan Christian.

In the championship match, Fox Valley Lutheran beat Winnebago Lutheran 25-19, 25-10.

Emma Nilson had 33 kills, six aces, 10 digs and seven blocks for FVL. Annalise Patchett had 22 kills and 11 digs, Sophia Wunderlich had 20 kills, Riley Schmitz had eight aces, 12 assists and 52 digs, Ava Patchett had 35 assists, 15 digs and seven aces, and Molly Bixby had 54 assists, 17 digs and eight aces.

Pulaski Invitational

PULASKI - The host Red Raiders finished with a 2-3 record.

Pulaski beat Marinette 25-22, 25-23 and beat NEW Lutheran 25-23, 22-25, 16-14. Seymour beat Pulaski 26-24, 27-25, Kiel beat Pulaski 25-19, 20-25, 15-8 and West De Pere beat the Red Raiders 25-21, 25-16.

Alexia Thibodeau had 43 kills and 29 digs for Pulaski. Emma Quinnell added 35 kills, Brin Lemense had 62 digs, and Bella Valdez had 84 assists and 36 digs.

Green Bay NEW Lutheran had a 1-4 record. The Blazers’ only win was 25-14, 25-10 over Marinette.

Runner-up Kewaskum beat the Blazers 25-18, 25-14, eventual champion Oconto Falls beat NEW Lutheran 25-15, 25-14, and West De Pere beat the Blazers 19-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Abby Kirchner had 90 assists and 25 digs, Lexi Dhein had 68 digs and six aces, Emma Laatsch had 41 kills, 39 digs and five aces, Lexie Meerstein had 23 kills and seven blocks, and Kiera Adams-McIntosh had 16 kills for NEW Lutheran.

Charger Challenge Invite

MENOMONEE FALLS - Luxemburg-Casco finished in a tie for 17th place out of 32 teams.

The Spartans beat Wisconsin Lutheran 25-14, 25-21 in pool play. Sauk Prairie beat the Spartans 25-17, 12-25, 15-13 and Arrowhead beat the Spartans 25-17, 20-25, 15-10.

In bronze bracket play, Luxemburg-Casco beat Germantown 25-16, 25-12 and beat Waukesha West 19-25, 25-20, 15-11.

“This tournament always has some of the best teams in the state and I loved the fight and resiliency our team showed this weekend,” Spartans coach Jeff Frey said. “We got tested in all of our matches and we got better, which is why you come to a tournament like this.”

Trucker Invitational

CLINTONVILLE - St. Mary Catholic finished in second place after losing to Shawano 25-18, 25-16 in the championship match.

In the semifinals, the Zephyrs beat Clintonville 25-19, 25-6. In pool play, the Zephyrs beat Gillett 25-18, 25-10 and beat Shawano 25-12, 25-21. Ripon beat SMC 25-23, 25-21.

Leading the Zephyrs were Sammie Weiss with 45 assists, Stella Virlee with 34 assists, Olivia Noel with 33 digs, Lauren Fischer with 33 kills and 28 digs, Eliana Brenn with 19 kills, and Audrey Norville with 15 kills and 21 digs.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Dave Hash Invite

KAUKAUNA - Kimberly took first place at the 16-team tournament with a 6-0 record.

The Papermakers improved their season record to 22-4 overall and won the Dave Hash Invite for the first time in program history.

Kimberly beat Fond du Lac 25-15, 25-22, beat Madison West 25-18, 25-14 and defeated Waukesha Fusion 25-21, 20-25, 22-20 in pool play.

In bracket play, the Papermakers beat Wilmot 24-26, 25-22, 15-6 and beat Kaukauna 25-22, 25-11 then defeated the Fusion again, 25-18, 23-25, 16-14.

Brady Koester had 46 kills, three aces and 10 blocks. Lucas Eckrose had 39 kills, four aces, 21 digs and five blocks. Owen Krause had 33 kills, eight aces and 32 digs.

Other leaders for Kimberly were Gage Stahmann with 86 assists and 19 digs, Michael Janssen with 22 kills and 11 blocks, Cayden Zahringer with 67 assists and four aces, Kameron Kemp with 47 digs, Jack Hruzek with 16 digs, Tyler Haase with 16 kills, and Nick Sroda with nine kills and eight blocks.

Kaukauna finished with a 3-2 record.

The Ghosts beat Greenfield 25-5, 25-8 and Madison Edgewood 25-14, 25-15 in pool play. Kettle Moraine beat the Ghosts 25-20, 24-26, 15-10.

In the gold bracket, Kaukauna beat Waukesha West 25-17, 23-25, 15-11 before losing to Kimberly.

Jack Van Epern had 36 kills and 10 aces. Brady Schultz added 19 kills and Andrew Vande Hey had 13 kills. Nolan Laflen had 40 assists, Jade Breckheimer had 42 digs and Jack McCartney had 28 assists.

FOOTBALL

Stratford 44, Shiocton 0

STRATFORD - The Tigers led 37-0 at halftime in the Central Wisconsin Conference-Large victory over the Chiefs.

Shiocton is now 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

Koehler Kilty ran for 146 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries for Stratford.

St. Mary Catholic 20, Fall River/Rio 14 (Friday)

FALL RIVER - Daniel Harness returned an interception 56 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to break a 14-14 tie and lead the Zephyrs to the victory.

SMC took an 8-0 lead in the first quarter on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Maddox Dwyer to Ashton Post. John Schultz ran for the two-point conversion.

Fall River/Rio responded and took a 14-8 lead in the third quarter but the Zephyrs tied the game on a 4-yard touchdown run by Schultz.

Schultz ran for 78 yards on 14 carries to lead SMC. Post added 54 yards on eight carries.

BOYS SOCCER

Pulaski 2, Shawano 0

PULASKI - The Red Raiders scored two goals in the second half in the nonconference win over the Hawks.

Nolan Pratt scored off an assist from Maddox McKeefry in the 46th minute. Donovan Holderness scored with an assist from Parker Sanders in the 52nd minute.

Pulaski (7-3-1 overall) goalie Jonah Drevs made one save. Shawano’s Andrew Hanssen had 13 saves.

St. Mary Catholic 2, Xavier 0

FOX CROSSING - Kieran Barrientos scored in the first half and Braeden Brenn scored in the second half to lead the Zephyrs to the nonconference win over the Hawks.
