Salaries for Georgia gymnastics coaches Cecile Canqueteau-Landi and Ryan Roberts

The compensation for Georgia gymnastics new co-head coaches could be viewed as a sign of how much the school wants to return to its glory days in the sport.

Georgia will pay Cecile Canqueteau-Landi $340,000 a year and Ryan Roberts $265,000 in salary, according to information received Wednesday afternoon by the Athens Banner-Herald in an open records request.

They are replacing Courtney Kupets-Carter who was paid $207,000 annually.

Canqueteau-Landi was the personal coach for U.S. Olympic star Simone Biles and coached with her husband at World Champions Centre in Texas.

Roberts was making $161,000 annually in the second year as a Georgia assistant after coaching previously on staff at Alabama.
