Saints troll Ezekiel Elliott, put money in the Salvation Army kettle after fumble recovery

The Salvation Army is getting a lot of publicity out of the oversized kettle it puts behind the end zone for Dallas Cowboys games.

A couple years ago, Ezekiel Elliott jumped in the kettle after a touchdown, which was funny. Then on Thanksgiving, after a touchdown Elliott grabbed some cash from a team photographer on the sideline and put it in the kettle. Also funny. Elliott put $21 in the kettle, presumably because he wears No. 21.

The New Orleans Saints took note and decided to mimic Elliott on Thursday night.

Marshon Lattimore had a celebration planned

In the second quarter the Saints caused a fumble on Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper and cornerback Marshon Lattimore recovered. Even though the Saints trailed 10-0 at the time, Lattimore had a plan and he was going through with it.

Lattimore went to the end zone with the kettle, reached into the bottom of his jersey pants and pulled out some bills. It appeared he put $23 in the kettle, which is his jersey number.

So the Saints stole Elliott’s celebration and even gave a little more. But hey, it’s all about bringing attention to a good cause.
