Rutgers basketball hosted New York three-star Amdy Ndiaye this week

One of the top uncommitted and unsigned players in the 2023 recruiting class, Amdy Ndiaye, took an unofficial visit to Rutgers basketball this week.

A 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward from Long Island Lutheran (Glen Head, N.Y.), Ndiaye is the No. 39 center in the country and the sixth-best recruit in New York.

Ndiaye is a strong defensive player, one who clogs the lanes, rebounds well, blocks shots and aggressively challenges the rim. Offensively, Ndiaye does a nice job in the post, particularly grabbing offensive rebounds and putbacks. He is instinctual on offense and quite effective in the low-post.

He tweeted about his visit, making it clear that he has not committed anywhere:

The 2023 recruiting class for Rutgers is a solid one. It features four-star Gavin Griffiths, the highest-ranked recruit to ever sign with the Scarlet Knights.
