JARED QUAY: LeBron James and the reigning champion LA Lakers have their eyes set on Washington. Yahoo Sports' own Chris Haynes is reporting that the team wants to visit Joe Biden's White House to celebrate their 2020 championship later this year. No NBA team has visited the White House during the Trump administration.

- You know why.

JARED QUAY: Yeah, NBA players probably want a nicer meal than fast food. It might work for college, but not people who make $50 million a year.

- True story.

JARED QUAY: Anyway, you know that saying about politics making strange bedfellows? It's true, just look at this on-court beef between LeBron and Draymond. But now there's a new president in office, Draymond is suddenly happy about his rivals celebrating the ship. And LeBron's into it too, so cheers. Hm, I got a good idea-- how about all of the NBA champions for the last four years go to the White House together? It'll be like the NBA celebrating the White House. Yeah, I know the Raptors are from Canada, but they got Americans on the team. But you know what I'm saying, a joint NBA party at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, oh, you know that's about to be lit.

Speaking of lit, the Mets are about to be good next season.

- [LAUGHING]

JARED QUAY: No, no. For real, the Mets new billionaire owner must have saw with the Dodgers did last year after acquiring Mookie Betts and said--

- Hey, hold my beer.

JARED QUAY: The Mets traded four random dude for one of the best players in baseball, Francisco Lindor and pitcher Carlos Carrasco. Yo, that's quite a steal, no pun intended. All right, maybe the pun was intended. Lindor is a four-time all-star, two-time Gold Glove winner, and one of the faces of MLB. As for the guys Cleveland acquired, we're not really sure about them. Maybe Cleveland should see if players like Pedro Cerrano, Ricky "The Wild Thing" Vaughn, and Jake Taylor are available.

Speaking of available, Katie Sowers, the first woman to coach in the Super Bowl, appears to be hitting the job market. According to "The San Jose Mercury," and a cryptic post on IG from Sowers herself, the 49ers moved on from the offensive assistant who was well-liked and respected by many of the players. You know who might need Sowers' services? The Houston Texans. They only won four games this season, and their first round draft pick is going to Miami. And that ain't even their biggest problem.

- I need a drink.

JARED QUAY: Pro Football talk says that quarterback Deshaun Watson is thinking about requesting a trade and running it by his teammates. Could you imagine that? They give you a Brandon Cooks and then Watson calls you up like, hey man, I'm thinking about requesting a trade. You're like, yeah, uh-- are you going to make it a group deal? Is it going to be us going, or just you going? Because my answer's going to be dependent on that.
