- Towns shoots it again. That time he's got 60, for Karl-Anthony Towns!

JARED QUAY: There has been a scoring explosion recently. KD, Kyrie, Tatum, LeBron twice, have all dropped at least 50 points in the last week and a half. And Karl-Anthony Towns to that list because the Timberwolves center just dropped a 60-piece in Minnesota's win over the Spurs.

The previous season-high was Trae Young and LeBron's 56 points, but that distinction belongs to Towns, for now. And while KAT was dropping buckets, the Nets were dropping dollar. Kyrie Irving Barclays center drama may have been upstaged by Tom Brady's un-retirement, but Kyrie is like a dinosaur in Jurassic Park.

- Life finds a way.

JARED QUAY: The NBA is fining the Nets, $50K.

- $50 million!

JARED QUAY: No, Chris Tucker. $50,000. After the Nets' win over New York Knicks, Kyrie hopped into the locker room to celebrate with his teammates. Unfortunately, Kyrie isn't allowed to play in home games, nor is he allowed to joined the team as an employee in the locker room, but Kyrie is allowed to attend Barclays Center as a spectator to watch the team.

- So let me get this straight--

JARED QUAY: There's nothing to get straight. Private sector businesses mandate employees be vaccinated because, you know, using all them sick days can hurt your bottom line. And at the same time, they expose those employees to unvaccinated, mask-less customers, who are happy to pay the price of admission.

- You make it make sense.

JARED QUAY: Nah! I can't even do that. OK. Here's something I can make sense of. Green Bay Packers superstar receiver, Davante Adams has informed the team that he is refusing to play under the franchise tag. After the Cheeseheads re-signed Aaron Rodgers for about $50 million a year--

- $50 million!

JARED QUAY: --it freed up just enough cap money to tag Adams at around $18 million. But everybody knows that Davante Adams could earn way more money than that in the free agency.

- Well, duh!

JARED QUAY: Elsewhere, the Steelers are signing quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to replace the recent and hopefully permanent retired Ben Roethlisberger.

- Oh, God, dude.

- Oh, no.

JARED QUAY: I know. It ain't exciting, but that's when all the best quarterbacks are accounted for. Case in point, the Dolphins are signing Teddy Bridgewater to be Tua Tagovailoa's backup. The moves aren't sexy, but they get the job done, OK!

- OK, OK, OK.

JARED QUAY: OK. Let's end with some baseball.

- No!

JARED QUAY: Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis, Jr. will miss three months after fracturing his wrist. The San Diego star told reporters his wrist started bothering him about a month ago, but according to mlb.com, doctors think the injury occurred before that. Tatis was also involved in a minor motorcycle accident over the offseason.

- Motorcycle.

JARED QUAY: When asked when the accident occurred, Tatis responded with, which one? Which one! How many motorcycle accidents in you're getting involved into Fernando? My mom would never let me ride one of those death traps. And I ain't no pro athlete making--

- $50 million.

JARED QUAY: But if I was, I still didn't think I'd be riding a motorcycle. Let's be honest, man. Them things are not very attractive. I mean, sometimes it's cool to watch YouTube videos, people doing wheelies, but I would never really do one. I mean, I don't want to get injured. I mean, the risk to reward ain't great enough.
