The Rush: Was ESPN’s tourney bracket gaffe a mistake or something worse?

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE to see today’s piping-hot, fresh-outta-the-oven episode of THE RUSH with Liz Loza! We’ll let you know everything you didn’t know you needed to know about sports. Other stuff too. But mostly sports.

It’s Tuesday, March 19, 2019, and here’s what Liz is cooking up:

  • The brackets for the NCAA women’s tournament were announced yesterday, but ESPN ruined what should have been a celebratory day by leaking the brackets a few hours early. It’s all covered in their new 30 for 30 on the mistake.

  • The revolving door that is NFL free agency continued to spin yesterday. A couple days after the Dolphins signed Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Rams added Blake Bortles, and Eagles tackle Haloti Ngata retired from the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

  • Word came out yesterday that as the Phillies were collapsing down the stretch last year, they were playing Fortnite in the clubhouse during games. All that ended yesterday when veteran 1B Carlos Santana destroyed the TV with a bat.

THE RUSH with Liz Loza will be back tomorrow. And The Gold Rush with Jared Quay may be gone for now, but gambling sure isn’t. If you need a fix for the first round of March Madness, be sure to check out Mad Bets on the Yahoo Sports Twitter page.
