Run on the field at Arrowhead Stadium in Chiefs 11th annual 5K

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their 11th annual “Run Like a Champion” 5K.

The race is at Arrowhead Stadium at 7 p.m. May 10. There will also be a 1K offered for kids 12 years old and younger. The 1K will be at 6:30 p.m. before the 5K.

The GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K run/walk is designed to allow participants a chance to race inside the stadium.

The race is designed for the serious athlete, the casual participant and everyone in between.

Participants will run their way through the parking lots around Arrowhead and Kauffman stadiums before the race route takes them inside the Chiefs stadium to run through the concourse and finish under the lights.

Registration is now open on the Chiefs website with three registration periods, including two early registration discount periods.

Early-bird registration is now open through March 31 at $15 for ages 12 years old and younger, $37 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and $43 for the public.

Standard registration runs from April 1-30 and is $18 for ages 12 years old and younger, $43 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and $48 for the public.

Pre-event registration will run from May 1-10 and is $20 for ages 12 years old and younger, $48 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and $53 for the public.

There will not be any on-site registration on the day of the event.

The race will also have a virtual option for out-of-town participants or for those who want to run their own route.
