ROUNDUP: Lions edge Bluestreaks by 12; sets up Wednesday clash with WV

Jan. 30—Marshall found momentum Monday night going into a showdown with West Vigo later this week.

The Lions beat Clark County, Ill., rival Martinsville 49-37 in boys high school basketball in the Marshall gym.

Marshall (now 10-13 overall) got 16 points from Bentley Delp and 10 each from Payton McGuire and R..J. Mattas.

The Bluestreaks fell to 9-15 for the season.

The Lions will play host to West Vigo at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

In other boys basketball:

—North Vermillion 67, Chrisman 50 — At Chrisman, Ill., the Falcons made the 25-mile trip across the state line Monday and picked up their 10th victory of the season.

North Vermillion (10-8) plays again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at South Vermillion. Chrisman took an 8-14 record into Tuesday's home game vs. Bismarck-Henning.
