Rookie WR Michael Wilson is latest Cardinals player paired with pro soccer player
Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz is married to pro soccer player Julie Ertz. Now-retired J.J. Watt, who spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals, is married to Kealia Watt, also a pro soccer player.
Rookie receiver Michael Wilson, drafted in the third round, joins the club.
His girlfriend is Sophia Smith, also a pro soccer player. She was drafted No. 1 overall in the NWSL after her sophomore season at Stanford, where she and Wilson met.
On the latest episode of “Cardinals Flight Plan,” Wilson reveals how competitive they can be. When it comes to the two of them, he only concedes that she would beat him in volleyball and competitive breakdancing.
They are much younger than the Zach and Julie Ertz, while J.J. and Kealia Watt are off now doing the retirement thing, but Wilson is part of the club officially.
