New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski still has yet to make a decision regarding his plans for the 2019 season, his agent said Monday on ESPN.

Gronkowski, who helped lead the Patriots to their third Super Bowl win in five seasons last month, battled injuries all year long, missing three games in the regular season, and even played through an injury against the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

While his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed that Gronkowski is healthy again, he said even he hasn’t been informed about what the All-Pro tight end wants to do.

“I talked to Rob last night. He won’t even tell me,” Rosenhaus said on ESPN’s NFL Live. “He said he hasn’t made a decision yet. He is healthy, which I’m excited to say. He’s feeling a lot better. ... There's never been a tight end like this guy. The sky's the limit for him. If he comes back to play, fantastic.

“I honestly don't know. I'm waiting to see like everybody else.”

Gronkowski had 60 receptions for 873 yards and three touchdowns last season for the Patriots. He had six receptions for 87 yards in New England’s 13-3 win against the Rams in the Super Bowl last month, which made him the tight end with the most receptions in Super Bowl history.

Following that win, though, Gronkowski said he would take his time to decide whether he would return for a 10th season in the NFL.

The 29-year-old has hinted at retirement for some time now — and walking away from the game after yet another Super Bowl win is about the perfect way to do it. Yet returning in 2019, where the Patriots will likely compete for yet another championship, could help cement the future Hall of Famer’s legacy even more.

With even Gronkowski’s agent in the dark about his future, it seems only time will tell if he’ll be back on the field in New England next season.
