Rip Hamilton to represent Pistons at NBA draft lottery
Former NBA champion and Detroit Pistons legend Rip Hamilton will represent the organization at the NBA draft lottery on Tuesday in Chicago, Illinois, the team announced.
The Pistons enter the lottery as one of three teams with the highest odds of winning the top pick after finishing with a 23-59 record. They had the third-worst record in the NBA and have a 14% chance of receiving the No. 1 overall pick.
Of course, Detroit won the lottery last year and eventually selected Cade Cunningham with the first pick from Oklahoma State. Cunningham was the Pistons’ first No. 1 pick since the late Bob Lanier in 1970.

The Pistons were represented last year by Hall of Famer Ben Wallace. Certainly, they will be hoping another franchise legend will be enough good luck to receive the No. 1 pick and draft at the top of the board for the second year in a row.
The draft lottery is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
