The Republic's 2023-24 All-Arizona Boys' High School Golf Team, Coach of Year

Here is The Republic's All-Arizona Boys High School Golf Team for the 2023-24 school year, along with honorable mentions and the boys' coach of the year. The 12 All-Arizona players (listed alphabetically) are our nominees for the Boys' Golfer of the Year, which will be announced at the Arizona High School Sports Awards, presented by Diamond Kitchen & Bath, on June 17 at Arizona Financial Theater in downtown Phoenix.

Landon Ashcraft, Notre Dame

He shot 8-under par over for the two-day Division II state tournament to take the individual title. He's ranked No. 9 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for the fall 2023 season.

Brasen Briones, Ironwood Ridge

He was a key part of the Nighthawks' Division II championship team this fall. He finished fifth overall in the D-II tournament individual scoring with a 141, but shot a 4-under on day two, helping his team force a playoff and defeat Notre Dame Ranked No. 49 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.

Austin Bullard, Casteel

He shot a 7-under 65 in the final round of the two-day Division I state tournament to finish third overall in the individual standings. He's ranked No. 14 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.

Vincent Cervantes, Hamilton

He shot 9-under par over the two rounds of the state Division I championship tournament, helping Hamilton win the state title. Finished second overall on the D-I individual leaderboard. He's ranked No. 6 by the PGA National High School Golf Association, which also ranked Hamilton No. 1 in the nation for the fall 2023 season.

Chase Cesarek, Catalina Foothills

He's one of three Arizona golfers tied for 26th in the PGA National High School Golf Association national rankings for fall 2023, with an average round score of 69.5.

Adam Croix, Liberty

He was the Division I individual winner in the two-day AIA state tournament, shooting 11-under. He's ranked No. 2 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.

Henry Dall, Brophy

Finished in the top 5 among individual golfers at the state Division I tournament for the runner-up Broncos. Ranked No. 17 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.

Joe Houghton, Perry

Selected AIA All-Premier Region 1st Team. Ranked No. 25 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.

Jacob Medina, Ironwood Ridge

Finished 6th in the D-II state tournament individual scoring and helped Ironwood Ridge secure the state title in a playoff against Notre Dame.

Trey Moore, Desert Mountain

One of three Arizona golfers ranked No. 26 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023, with a 69.5/round scoring average.

Shray Patel, Hamilton

Ranked 49th overall in the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023 with an average 70.5/round score, Patel was part of a strong Huskies lineup that won the D-I state championship and ended the fall semester ranked No. 1 nationally.

Tyler Spielman, Brophy

Another of the three Arizona golfers ranked No. 26 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023, with a 69.5/round scoring average. He finished in the top 5 at the D-I state championship tournament.

Boys' Coach of the Year

Steve Kanner, Hamilton: The Huskies capped the season with the Division I state championship, holding off another state power in Brophy. Hamilton also finished the fall season ranked No. 1 nationally by the PGA National High School Golf Association for fall 2023.
