Report: Von Miller facing four-game suspension

Denver Broncos star pass rusher Von Miller is facing a potential four-game suspension for violating one of the NFL drug policies, according to reports from ESPN and the Denver Post.

Miller is appealing the punishment from the league.

If he's sidelined, it continues the Broncos' rocky offseason that includes a fax debacle that cost them Pro Bowl outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil and arrests and suspensions for executives Matt Russell and Tom Heckert for driving under the influence.

Miller is a rare specimen at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds with 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash.

He has 30 sacks, 132 tackles and eight forced fumbles in two NFL seasons.

Miller is an irreplaceable pass rusher, but the Broncos might want to get on the telephone with John Abraham if the suspension goes through.

It's yet another blow to the Broncos' defense after losing Dumervil this offseason due to a contract filing deadline that was missed.

Dumervil now plays for the Ravens, ironically the Broncos' opponent Sept. 5 in a season-opener at Denver.
