Report: Titans brought OLB Jamal Davis in for a visit

The Tennessee Titans continue to explore their options at outside linebacker with the position currently in flux.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, outside linebacker Jamal Davis visited the Titans, although it isn’t clear exactly what the visit entailed.

Davis entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Akron in 2019 and originally signed with the Houston Texans, where he took part in preseason games.

He then spent time on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad before joining Tennessee’s in October. Davis caught on with the Miami Dolphins later on in the season, playing in three games.

In 2020, he was a member of the Green Bay Packers before they released him on Monday.

The Titans have been active at outside linebacker in the past week, and for good reason.

After reporting late to training camp, Vic Beasley remains on the NFI list, Josh Smith is currently on the COVID-19 list and Reggie Gilbert was waived with an injury designation on Tuesday. The latter move prompted the Titans to sign Wyatt Ray just two days later.
