Report: Patriots among suitors for Lions QB Matthew Stafford

As the offseason continues for the New England Patriots, they are among the suitors for Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Appearing in a periscope from the Senior Bowl on Saturday, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer narrowed down the list to seven teams.

In addition to the Patriots, the Washington Football Team, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams were the suitors for Stafford, according to Breer.

With the news breaking last weekend, there have been constant rumors surrounding Stafford and where he will end up. With New England needing stability at the quarterback position, this could be a viable option for the Patriots.

It will be interesting to see where Stafford goes as he looks to enter a new chapter in what has been a productive career.
