Report: NFL planning limited attendance –13,000-15,000 — for Super Bowl LV
The Super Bowl is a hot ticket. And the game played in 2021 at Raymond James Stadium is going to be a more-coveted ducat.
How about only 20% capacity for the game on Feb. 7 .., unless it is moved. This is a direct result of Covid-19, the pandemic that continues to grip the United States and World.
Per Adam Schefter:
The NFL is moving forward with plans for a reduced-capacity Super Bowl LV, to be played Feb. 7 even if the league ultimately adds an 18th week to its regular season.
At this point, the NFL is planning to hold capacity to 20% at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, which normally holds 65,000 fans. With temporary seating, its capacity could have been enlarged to nearly 75,000. Fans will be in pods 6 feet apart and masks will be required.

There is a possibility the NFL will have to eliminate the week off between the championship games and the Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl has already been canceled, which would have been played on that off-week.
