Report: Bucs aren’t expecting a comeback from Rob Gronkowski

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans might still be hoping for a comeback from tight end Rob Gronkowski at some point this season, but the team doesn’t appear to share that optimism.

The Bucs aren’t expecting Gronk to come out of retirement for a second time, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This tracks with everything Gronkowski himself has been saying publicly since his retirement, making it clear on multiple occasions that he will not be returning to the field.

Tampa Bay is prepared to roll with the four tight ends currently on their roster, a pair of veterans in Kyle Rudolph and Cameron Brate, as well as two rookies in fourth-round pick Cade Otton and sixth-rond pick Ko Kieft.
