It's a historic year already for Fletcher, after Jasmine Cross created five touchdowns to upset Fleming Island. Pace's Amaya Pablo is among the Panhandle's most productive quarterbacks this year, passing for 3,932 yards and 54 touchdowns and rushing for 405 yards, with Kenna Pacitti, Aisley Shields, Emma Sutton and Cadence Wermer all at 600 or more yards. The winner advances to the sectional final on May 3 against Timber Creek or New Smyrna Beach.

How they got here: Clay, White, Fletcher advance in FHSAA regionals

REGION 2-1A

White (16-3) at Clay (12-1), 7 p.m.

A good one in Green Cove Springs. Both teams have been rock-solid on defense, and for Clay, Teaghan Moses has been at the controls of an offense that's won its last six. The Commanders counter with a deadly pass rush led by sophomore Elyhana Perez-Stevenson (25 sacks) and a secondary sparked by Tyra Pierce. White edged the Blue Devils 14-13 in last year's district tournament. The winner plays in a sectional final against Choctawhatchee or Florida High on May 3.
