Reggie White inducted into Hula Bowl Hall of Fame

Former Vol Reggie White was inducted into the Hula Bowl Hall of Fame at an awards ceremony Thursday in Orlando, Florida.

He is one of seven inductees for the Class of 2023 Hula Bowl Hall of Fame, joining Bobby Bowden (head coach, Florida State, West Virginia), Ron Simmons (defensive tackle, Florida State), Steve Bartkowski (quarterback, California), Willie Roaf (offensive lineman, Louisiana Tech), Darryl Talley (linebacker, West Virginia) and Brandon Marshall (wide receiver, UCF).

White passed away in 2004.

He played defensive tackle at Tennessee from 1980-83.

White appeared in 42 games for the Vols, totaling 32 sacks, 293 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, seven pass deflections and one interception.

He was the SEC Player of the Year in 1983.

White is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame.
