Red Sox Spring Training 2024 theme games include Jimmy Buffett, Hawaiian shirts, bucket hats

The Boston Red Sox will open their 13th spring training at JetBlue Park next month with a trio of theme days to kick off the Grapefruit League portion of their home schedule.

The three promotions include specific giveaway items as well as a game ticket. Only tickets purchased through these special offers are eligible to receive the items. They can be purchased at redsox.com/tickets by selecting "Buy Spring Training Theme Ticket."

Here's a look at the Red Sox's three spring training theme days.

Margaritaville Day: A celebration for Jimmy Buffett

On Sunday, Feb. 25, the Red Sox will commemorate the iconic singer, who died last September at age 76, during their Grapefruit League opener against the Minnesota Twins. All fans who purchase through this special offer will receive a Jimmy Buffett statue memorializing the 20th anniversary of his performance at Fenway Park. There will also be special Margaritaville-themed entertainment and activities at JetBlue Park.

Buffett's legacy will live on in Southwest Florida through two Buffett-style hotels: the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Fort Myers Beach, which opened in December, and the Compass by Margaritaville Hotel in Naples, which is set to open in February.

Hawaiian Shirt Day

On Monday, Feb. 26, the Red Sox will host the Philadelphia Phillies with select fans receiving a Red Sox-themed Hawaiian shirt presented by Mike's Amazing. Shirts will be available in Adult M and Adult XL with sizes distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Reversible Bucket Hat Day

On Friday, Feb. 29, the Red Sox will host to Detroit Tigers with eligible fans receiving a reversible bucket hat, presented by Benjamin Moore.

All of the spring training theme day games begin at 1:05 p.m. Details about how to pick up the giveaway items will be sent to ticket holders prior to the games. For more information, visit redsox.com/tickets.
