Recruiting experts split on LSU and Texas for Colin Simmons

The decision for five-star EDGE Colin Simmons is set to be announced on Thursday. As they have been throughout his whole recruitment, the predictions are mixed.

At one point it was believed that the Duncanville (TX) product was only considering SEC programs, but later confirmed he was interested in programs across all conferences. His recruitment had programs like Colorado, Oregon, Miami, and Alabama all involved but based off of the crystal ball predictions by experts it is down to two schools.

The only issue with the crystal ball predictions is that there isn’t a consensus as to where he will end up. There are two predictions that favor Texas, both of which come in with a medium confidence level, and there are also two predictions in favor of LSU with the same level of confidence.

The main concerning prediction for Texas fans should be the one from 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, who is typically as accurate as they come when it comes to predictions. Wiltfong has an LSU prediction inserted, but then again LSU recently had their defensive line coach step away.

Needless to say, anything can happen and there will be one very disappointed fan base on Thursday.

Simmons ranks as the No. 27 player in the country and the No. 6 player in the state of Texas.
