Reactions to Texas basketball winning the Big 12 Championship: 'Going out on top'

Texas women's basketball's final appeal for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament happened on Tuesday night, as the Longhorns demolished Iowa State 73-50 to win their second Big 12 Title in three years.

It's the cherry on top of a 30-4 Sundae that could've been a disaster when Rori Harmon suffered a torn ACL early in the season. However, Co-Big 12 player of the year Madison Booker stepped up and led the way this season and vs. the Cyclones with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists. Shaylee Gonalez and Aaliyah Moore added on 11 and 14 points respectively.

Texas has won three Big 12 titles and is headed to the Southeastern Conference next year. Selection Sunday is when Texas will know if all of their efforts were enough to earn a No. 1 seed in the upcoming March Madness. That being said, UT fans know that a high seed isn't a guarantee of success in the chaotic bracket.
