Rasheed Wallace on the moment he learned about ref Tim Donaghy’s indictment
Former Boston Celtics big man Rasheed Wallace long held that a certain NBA official was fixing games, and was not shy about sharing his perspective on the matter. But when infamous league ref Tim Donaghy finally ended up getting caught doing exactly that by a federal wiretap after something entirely unrelated swept up Donaghy in the investigation, it was a moment of vindication for Sheed, a known antagonist of zebras.
Wallace found out about the arrest while on vacation with friends in the Mediterranean after a frantic call from his mother-in-law made him aware of the hubbub surrounding Donaghy’s downfall.
