Raiders RB Josh Jacobs has forced the most missed tackles since 2019

When the Raiders drafted Josh Jacobs in the 2019 NFL Draft, they knew exactly what type of running back they were getting. Jacobs doesn’t have elite speed and he’s not the most elusive back in the world. But what he does is break tackles at an absurd rate.

According to Pro Football Focus, no running back in the NFL has forced more missed tackles than Josh Jacobs since 2019. That is incredible considering that Jacobs missed three games at the end of his rookie season. His ability to throw defenders off his body and continue to push piles is what makes him such an effective player for the Raiders

Over the final eight games of the season, the Raiders are going to lean heavily on their workhorse back. That is especially true once the weather worsens away from Las Vegas. Look for Jacobs to have a huge second half of the 2020 season as the Raiders try to clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2016.
